GSMA’s membership encompasses more than 750 mobile operators, as well as hardware and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as organizations in adjacent industry sectors. GSMA also delivers industry-leading research and intelligence through Mobile World Live, the GSMA Intelligence service, and other programmes.

4YFN

The 8th edition of 4YFN will take place at the heart of MWC, the world’s largest mobile industry exhibition. This unique startup business platform will convene the Tech ecosystem and enable startups, investors and large corporations to connect and launch new ventures together.

The jury will evaluate the Applications on the following criteria: soundness & traction, technology readiness, market potential and scalability, impact in solving one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, workforce diversity and fit with existing industry players. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the competition Rules and Regulations at any time without prior notice, as well as the Application process, timeline and selection criteria.

Participation in the 4YFN Awards is open to individuals of legal age, teams and companies (subject to a maximum size limit). The personal data submitted by Participants will be used exclusively for the purposes set out in the Rules and Regulations.

TechTalks

TechTalks is a video presentation series for the Wikimedia technical community. The talks are intended to explain how a technology works, why it was chosen for use, and lessons learned from its use. These presentations can also be a great way to show off your knowledge about a topic.

This event will host a variety of activities and events that will bring together leading tech companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders to discuss the future of technology. The conference will focus on a number of topics, including AI, climate tech, quantum technologies, Web3, life sciences, and the metaverse.

Open Future

Open Future is a pedagogical framework that supports teachers in delivering quality teaching and learning that promotes enquiry-based learning. It also provides a strong foundation for the development of life skills in primary aged children. Its four learning strands – askit, growit, cookit and filmit – help teachers to create engaging and meaningful contexts for children’s learning.

The project draws on a moderate interpretation of the right to an open future, which is a child’s right to acquire a reasonably broad spectrum of capacities, abilities, knowledge and opportunities. It is also grounded in capability theory and focuses on the extent to which digital technologies enable children to shape and realize lives they value. Open Future also tackles questions pertaining to temporal ontology such as whether propositions about the future can be true now or not.

Diversity4Tech

MWC hosts the global mobile connectivity ecosystem to connect, discuss and innovate. It features trend-setting exhibitions, keynotes and a wide range of events led by industry influencers. Its multi-industrial approach to solving global connectivity challenges makes it a valuable forum for large and small companies. It also offers extensive learning opportunities through GSMA programmes, Partner-led seminars and Summits.
